Story from www.hockeyscene.com
HALIFAX, NS, January 8, 2014 - Only three games were played in the Major Midget Division at the East Coast Ice Jam as play got underway Wednesday. The Halifax McDonalds were shut out by the Rothesay Netherwood Night Hawks 2-0 while the Central Icepak (NL) edged the Cole Harbour Wolf Pack 3-2. The final game of the day was Charlottetown Islanders shut out by Newbridge Academy 5-0.

The Rothesay-Netherwood Night Hawks jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first on a goal by Dominic O’Halloran. That lead held up until the just three seconds left in the final frame when Cameron McAteer scored an empty netter to make it a 2-0 win. Jeremy Wasson recorded the shutout for the Hawks. Reilly Pickard took the loss. Jake Barter assisted on both goals.

Games continue all day tomorrow at the BMO Centre beginning at 11am. There will be an updated schedule available Thursday morning due to a rearrangement of games because three of the Newfoundland teams were unable to arrive until Thursday due to weather conditions, which delayed two flights and caused one team to be stranded for a period of time in the ferry crossing.

Information on the two game not noted above will be added to this story when info is available. It not not available at the time of writing,
