The first edition of the Chronicle Herald East Coast Ice Jam will take to the ice at the BMO Centre in Bedford, NS starting Wednesday January 9th at 6:30pm and conclude with the championship game on Sunday January 13th 2013. Eighteen major midget and prep school teams from Atlantic Canada will be participating.
All games will be played at the BMO Centre mainly on pads C and D. St. John’s Maple Leafs and Dartmouth Major Midgets have the honour pf playing the first game which will be followed by a game involving the St. John’s Privateers and Halifax Titans
In all, there will be a total of 38 games played over five days at the Nova Scotia Major Midget Hockey League run event.
Live up to date stats as well as a period by period blog with goal scorers and assists for all games is being provided. The blog will be interactive. Questions and comments submitted about the event on by those who are following along will be posted (at monitor’s discretion) and answered to the best of his ability. Links will be provided on the hockeyscene.com main page.
The organizers hope that hockey fans throughout the region will join them during this event which is designed to be beneficial to all scouts, players, coaches, and teams throughout Atlantic Canada and one they expect will become an annual event.
