Atlantic Canadian Taken in 1st Round of the NHL Draft

Shane Bowers, an 2015 IceJam alumni with the Halifax McDonald's, was selected in the 1st round of the 2017 NHL Draft by the Ottawa Senators.  He was selected in the #28 slot and was the only Canadian selected in the first round by a Canadian based NHL Team.
