HALIFAX, NS, January 7, 2016 - Five Bantam division games at the East Coast Ice Jam closed out Thursday play with one an overtime win and the other four with lots of scoring and high scores.  Acadie-Miramichi Senators and the Pictou Co Scotians went to overtime with the Senators ending with a 3-2 win.

Alexandre David scored the game winner in OT with Jeremy Duguay and Francis Basque scoring in regulation. Wayne Denny and Connor MacLeod gave the Scotians a 2-0 lead after one that held up until the third when the Senators scored a pair. Gabriel Pare backstopped the win. Brayden LeBlanc took the loss.

The Northern Blackhawks scored a 5-2 win over the Valley Wildcats as Valley went up 2-0 on goals by Sam Henderson and Brady Burns by the mid second period. The Hawks came back with five straight for the win. Alex Rioy scored a pair with Pascal Sonier, Zachary Young and Devin Labilois each scoring singles. Alexandre Levesque was the winning netminder. Seth Routledge took the loss.

Four goals i the third gave the TriPen Ice a 7-4 win over the Truro Bearcats. Dawson Mercer scored four goals for the Ice and assisted on two. Josh Neil, Liam Best and Dawson Laundry scored the others. Gavin Hart scored a hat trick for the Bearcats with Ben Williams scoring the other.  Colby Loveless took the win in net with Jacob Beaton tagged with the loss.

The Fredericton Canadiens scored singles in the first and second, adding three in the third to take a 5-3 win over the Western Hurricanes, who led 2-1 after the first and were knotted at two after 40 minutes. Sam Campbell scored three for the Canadiens with Josh Lawrence adding a pair. Evan Hennigar, Ben Charles and Kurtis Lang (SH) scored for the Hurricanes. Ryan Pearson took the wiin with Jeremy Robar posting the loss.

The Halifax Hawks took a 2-1 lead in the first and scored another five to take a 7-1 win over the Eastern Express. Matt Gordon scored the lone Express goal. Mitchell Comeau and Ethan Phillips scored a pair for the Hawks. Andrew Drysdale, Jacob Abbott nd Arlo Merritt scored singles. Liam Oxner took the win while Logan Birt recorded the loss.
