HALIFAX, NS, January 7, 2016 - Three supper time Major Midget division games went to overtime at the East Coast Ice Jam and all but one ended with no decision as neither team could get the winning goal. Only Cape Breton managed to notch the win.

The Cole Harbour Wolfpack and the Saint John Vitos played to a 1-1 tie and overtime decided nothing, The Vitos scored a first period goal with Liam Frigault, assisted by Sam McGaw and Simpson. With just 39 seconds left in the second Jared McIsaac scored on a power play, assisted by Alex Arab and Dawe on a power play. Jake Stewart backstopped the Vitos while Lucas Fitzpatrick took over the cage for the Pak.

The St. John’s Maple Leafs and Halifax McDonalds also ended knotted at one with the Leafs scoring (no name given). Both regulation goals were scored in the first with the Leafs getting on the board first with a goal nby Dylan MacKenzie from Parsons and Logan Cash answering back two minutes later to knot the score. Kirklin Allen tended the net for the Macs while Joshua Langmead was in net for the Leafs.

The Miramichi Rivermen and the Cape Breton Tradesmen also went to overtime but this time there was a winner as Daniel Reid scored the game winner on a power play to give his team a 4-3 win. Reid, Mitchell Johnston and Chase Fraser scored in regulation Walker Campbell, Eric Thiffault and Michael Waugh answered for the Rivermen, Liam MacDonald took the win in net. Ryan Hale was tagged with the loss.
