ALL NEW BRUNSWICK FINAL AT ICE JAM
HALIFAX, NS, January 11, 2015 - It is an all New Brunswick final at the East Coast Ice Jam as the Moncton Flyers and Rothesay Netherwood Riverhawks won their semi finals Sunday morning. Moncton downed the Cole Harbour Wolfpack 4-1 and the Riverhawks edged the Cape Breton West Islanders 2-1. The championship game is set for a 2:15pm start at the Halifax Forum.

Patrik Landry led the FLyers with a pair of goals as the Flyers scored one in the second and three in the third for the win. There was no scoring in the first.

Felix LeBlanc got the Flyers on the board with just over five minutes left in the second and Landry got his pair early in the third in under a minute of play to give Moncton a quick 3-0 lead.

Shaun Miller then scored for the Wolfpack to get on the board assisted by Alex Arab and Gregor MacLeod on a power play but they couldn’t get another counter and as the final seconds ticked away and Cole Harbour’s goaltender pulled, Liam Conrad iced the game with a goal assisted by Nolan Alward.

Alex Gallant, Chris Sarault, Remi Theriault, Tristan Mercure, Conrad and Alexandre Bernier added single assists for the Flyers. Xavier Cormier was the winning goaltender. Ryan Huestis took the loss.

The Riverhawks scored a pair of goals in the second for the win. There was no scoring in the first and the Islanders scored once in the third. Colton Marchand and Didrik Wasson-Lillehaug scored for the Riverhawks annd Avery Warner for the Islanders.

Brendan Bornstein had a pair of assists with Andrew Neilson and Ian Drysdale adding singles for RNS. Gregor MacLean assisted on Warner’s goal. Jeremy Wasson took the win in net. Daniel Liengme took the loss.
