HALIFAX, NS, January 9, 2015 -  The late afternoon games at the East Coast Ice Jam continued to see teams fighting hard to get a chance to advance to the playoffs. Fredericton Canadiens battled to a 2-2 tie with Valley Wildcats while the Miramichi Rivermen edged the St. John's Privateers 3-2 with the only goal of the third. Halifax McDonalds took to the third to ensure themselves of the win over the Central IcePak 5-1. The Cole Harbour Wolfpack  defeated Western Kings 4-1.

The Fredericton Canadiens took a 2 goallead in the first on goals by Patrick Daley, power play, and Logan Johnston; with Nick Pellerin assisting on both but that was all the scoring they did as Dylan Riley came back with a power play goal in the second and Cole Rafuse knotted the score in the third. to knot the game for the Valley Wildcats. Jack Grant was in net for the Canadiens and Luke Emin for the Wildcats.

The Miramich Rivermen scored once in each period while the St. John's Privateers scored the first goal of the game and the final goal of the second. Tristan Young led the Rivermen with a pair of goals, one shorthanded and Brandon Hache got the game winner. Nathan Whitten and Max French scored for the Privateers. Tanner Somers was the winner in goal while Chris Smith took the loss.

While the game between Halifax McDonalds and Central IcePak was knotted at the end of the first the Macs continued to score while goaltender Matt Welsh held the Pak scoreless for the 5-1 win. Shane Bowers had a pair of goals and Barrett Dachyshyn had a goal and one assist to led Halifax. Jack Cameron and Peter Drohan each had single counters. Nick Fitzgerald scored the lone Central goal. Noah Weir took the loss in net.

The Cole Harbour Wolfpack led all the way scoring once in the first and second and adding a pair in the third on their way to a 4-1 victory over Western NL Kings. Nicholas McFarlane (PP) Aaron Maillet, Alex Arab, power play, and Nick Cullen, unassisted, scored for the Wolfpack. Brady Griffin-Hefford scored the lone goal for the IcePak. Ryan Huestis was the winner in net while Luke House took the loss.
