The Cape Breton West Islanders doubled the TriPen Osprey 6-3 Friday in the midget division at The Chronicle Herald East Coast IceJam.

At BMO Centre, the Islanders scored five goals in the third period.

Randon MacKinnon had two goals and two assists.

Alex Bonaparte, Declan Smith, Connor Fraser and Matthew MacNeil had the other goals for Cape Breton West, 2-0.

Reilly Deering, Ryan Dawson and Ethan Street scored for TriPen.

McDonald’s 3, IcePak 1: Shane Bowers had two goals as Halifax improved to 3-0.

Barrett Dachyshyn and Peter Drohan and Jack Cameron also had goals. Halifax fired three unanswered goals in the third period.

Nick Fitzgerald had the goal for Central.

Wolfpack 4, Western Kings 1: Cole Harbour also won its third straight game with Aaron Maillet and Alexander Arab with a goal and an assist.

Nicholas McFarlane and Nick Cullen had the other goals while Brady Griffin-Hefford scored for Western Kings.

Weeks 4, Islanders 2: Blair Dewtie had a goal and two assists for Pictou County.

Michael Stuart, Julian Makary and Sam Allison had the other goals for the winners.

Shawn Corney and Dylan Wheatley had the goals for Charlottetown.

Maple Leafs 4, Tradesmen 1: Andrew Barron had two goals and an assist for St. John’s.

Evan White and Nathan Kenny completed the scoring.

Dylan Morley replied for Cape Breton.

Wildcats 2, Canadiens 2: Dylan Riley and Cole Rafuse helped Valley back from a 2-0 hole.

Patrick Daley and Logan Johnston gave Fredericton a 2-0 lead in the first period.

Valley has two wins and a tie.

Flyers 2, Mustangs 1: Chris Sarault and Kyle Ward scored for Moncton.

Tristan d’Entremont had the goal for South Shore, 2-1.

In other midget results, it was Ottawa 5, Kensington 2 and Miramichi 3, St. John’s Privateers 2.

In the bantam division, it was Western Kings 4, Acadie/Miramichi 2; TriPen 6 Kenn Valley 0; Fredericton 3, Eastern Express 1; Mid-Isle 1 North West 1 and St. John’s 6, Sancon 2 and Prince County 7, Dieppe 3.
